Dreams
Still upon my bed lay I this dark night

Waiting for darkness to cover the day

the stars, they sparkle, so clean and so bright

"Please let me dream well" is all that I pray

My eyes are closed, covers up to my chin

I relive the day, and all that has passed

I wander farther toward sleep's dark grin

and let my burdens fall from what was mask'd

My dreams so sweet, like a song of the mind

My thoughts so pure, for the pain'd heart inside

 The melody, lovely-sounding and kind

They melt away the distraught that resides

This world enchanted for the tired soul

Of which reality takes not a toll
