End of School Sonnet
Here I stand, perfectly planned, in the land
of Middle School, where I once thought I was cool.
But now, awaits something grand!
That will make these past three years look fool.
High School, a big, dangerous word
mysterious like the depths of the ocean floor.
But don’t forget, time, that flew, Memories...blurred?
are you opening or closing the door?
It’s not a race, but certainly fast paced.
At least I won’t have to run the mile anymore.
In fact, I’ll have to run more, what a disgrace!
But keep in mind, challenges are not bores.
As I wave goodbye, the only thing I know
is that, I just might have grown.
