Café Terrace at Night
The stars gleam with the greatest of delight
While the cobblestone pathway continues to sit still
And if you take this pathway during the night
You will see the glistening Café Terrace at the bottom of the hill
The people walk toward it; fascinated by the view
As the houses down the street are now brought to life
And if the café were the sun, it would soak through
All that was ever considered strife
With all the tables and chairs, ready to serve
The veranda slopes down inviting you in
And while the waiters walk around distributing hors d'oeuvres
And when the night starts coming to an end
The people say to Café Terrace “until next time old friend”
