Sonnet
Driving with my family to the beach
All squeezed in the car, there's a seat for each
The radio is playing country songs
Everyone in the car singing along
Crossing the bridge as we stare at the bay
Ready to have a wonderful beach day
We pull up to the street, finding a spot
Thinking to ourselves, wow it sure is hot
Walking up to the beach, sand in my feet
This warm summer breeze, sure cannot be beat
The waves building up as they crash on sand
Lounging in a chair, a drink in my hand
Knotted up my fishing line, nice and tight
So beautiful, so nice , no clouds in sight
