Alleys
She sees a road that leads to nowhere new,
As if she missed the correct turn.
I see the endless opportunity that is within view,
Her slight smile and her mind ready to learn.
This road  has alleys turning off in every direction,
All begging for her to turn down.
Alleys that hold experiences and beauty upon inspection,
Leading to rolling hills and open ground.
She is strong and her brain is like artwork,
A thousand foot  wall could not stop her success.
Rolling her eyes and giving a little confident smirk.
Turning the challenges of life into time for recess.
All I want is to find those alleys alongside her,
Following her green eyes and bright smile through life’s blur.
