What do You Call a Eulogy for Someone Who's Just MIA?
Dearly beloved, we gather here to mourn the loss of a dear friend:
Normalcy.
It was lost. Lost in the frenzy of changes and helplessness
Defeated in the battle against the new and unimproved
So let us raise our glasses and propose a toast
Here's to life as we once knew it
Here's to the present turning into memories that may fade.
And drink that bitter wine
Taste the effort our good friend made to remain with us
And feel its regret when time pushed it away.
And now sit back, my friends.
Sit back and feel the relief that was once normalcy.
