Many people know Panera is a good healthy place to eat, but often ask if it “is worth the expensive prices”. Panera is rated amongst some of the top fast food restaurants for both taste and quality of food. I reviewed 3 items: a sandwich, a salad, and a soup.

The first thing at Panera I tried was the grilled mac and cheese sandwich. The grilled mac and cheese sandwich is $11.49 and has 870 calories. My initial reaction was how could this sandwich not be good, let me tell you I was right the sandwich was amazing. The taste of the mac and cheese with bread was amazing. I had almost no complaints about this sandwich except for the fact I only had one. For the price and calories even though it is a bit expensive and has a decent amount of calories I do recommend you to get it.  

The second Item I tried was the BBQ Chicken Salad. It is 490 calories and is $11.59. This salad looked really good on their website and was nice and low on calories. My first thought when I got this was how nice it looked. It was presented very nicely and looked very appetizing. After I took the first bite I was surprised how good it tasted because I was originally skeptical about mixing barbecue with a salad but it was amazing. The flavors mixed together perfectly making a good low calorie great tasting meal. 

The last item I tried is the broccoli cheddar soup. The broccoli cheddar soup is $7.99 and 370 calories. This is something I have been recommended many times and decided I needed to try it. I tried it and it was worth the hype. It was the best thing I have had from Panera and is most definitely worth the price and the small calories it comes with. 

Overall I think that it is completely worth the extra money. Many of the items here are great and worth the extra dollar. Many of these items taste great and also are healthy. This was a place I would not have originally recommended but I was surprised at how good the food was and I 100% recommend it.
