My Struggles and Successes With Apple
After my most recent Apple product experience, there are a couple of things I realized. I was beyond excited to see my new phone had arrived. I dropped everything I was doing to get it set up. I thought that it was going to be a quick switch but it was not. As soon as I and my dad sat down to set the phone up I noticed that I was going to have to switch the phone number on my phone to the one on the new phone. In order to do this I had to access my phone to the computer which was way more difficult partly because I do not have an apple computer. This made it harder because I had to download software that apple computers already have. I had to wait hours for everything to download on my computer. This came as a shock to me because Apple is such a widespread company that one would think the software would be accessible on all devices. Throughout figuring out how to set my phone up, I was on the phone with apple multiple times. This was one of the most frustrating parts of the whole process. I had to wait usually for 20 minutes until I could speak with someone. Many times, the person I would talk to was very hard to understand or did not understand my problem.
One part of the process that went well for me was that after the 2nd phone call, I was transferred to a great representative, she was able to understand my problem and even transferred me to a VIP representative because my problem was more complicated. I really appreciated that once it was time for him to set me off on his own, he gave me his contact information so that I could reach him directly without having to wait through the whole process again. It made a huge difference to be able to speak with helpful, kind, and knowledgeable people because I wanted to experience my new phone so badly. Finally, after completing the whole process correctly I was into the new phone! It took not even a minute to see that the iPhone 14 pro max is such a great phone. The battery life is amazing, I can almost go 2 days without charging if I don't have a charger. I love having a larger phone screen, it is way easier to type and the phone still fits in everything. One part of the new phone I didn’t love was the new feature where the phone stays “on” all the time. I didn’t like this because it would eat the battery away. However, it is only a preference feature, so if you don’t want it you can change it in settings. Not to mention, the way you can easily switch all the data from your old phone to the new one is so effortless. In the end, the process I had to go through was worth it because the outcome is beyond what I anticipated.
