“Uncle Tom’s Cabin”

Uncle Tom’s cabin as a compelling story about a slave and how he sacrifices everything to save other people and things. It shows what slavery was like. Overall, I liked the book, but there were a few parts in the book that were a little slow for me because Stowe put so much detail in the story.
Uncle Tom is slave to a man name Mr. Shelby. Mr. Shelby soon trades Tom and a child named henry to a slave trader, but Henry’s mother ran away with Henry, before Henry was given to the slave trader. Tom stayed behind though, because if he didn’t go with the trader, all of Mr. Shelby’s slaves would get traded.
This book is an original classic which would be read by anyone interested in America’s past. But be warned! This is a book about slaves. Expect it to be sad.
