Hellraiser is a classic movie released in 1987. The movie's main antagonist is a character called Pinhead who is transformed into a monster by the cenobites in the start of the movie. The plot revolves around a mysterious box that opens a gateway to hell, which is ruled by demonic beings called Cenobites. I recommend this movie to anyone who likes bizarre horror movies that are cheesy, due to the fact it is almost 40 years old. Regardless, It still is a scary movie and a good watch. 

This movies plot was very bizarre and was not being done at the time the movie was produced, although some people may find it weird like myself, I still enjoyed watching it. Given the time it was made, the special effects are very well done. They do a good job at bringing the villains to life and giving them a purpose in the movie. Hellraiser goes into themes of obsession, desire, and the worst side of human emotion and motives. It really gets you thinking about how far you would go to satisfy your needs, would you kill someone?

In conclusion, Hellraiser is a classic horror film that is definitely worth seeing. The movie has a nice mix of gore, scares, and thought provoking concepts that stay with you after the credits finish. Hellraiser was almost like a fever dream the way it brought fiction and humans together to make a unique, but scary movie that was successful enough to make many more sequels to this one. Hellraiser proved to be a staple in the horror movie genre with its supernatural plot and obscene visuals, which has proved how it is a real testament of time by it being made all the way back in the 80s.
