Fortnite Chaning!?!?!
I'm not a big gamer, but I dabble into it every once in a while. When fortnite came out, it took the young generation by storm, reaching status as the most popular video game at its time for years in a row.
However, suddenly the quality of the game decreased significantly and the platform lost a very large amount of its players. The game continued on a decline as it was targeted for a very young audience. A majority of the game's valuable players and big game influencers moved on to other video games. The game is free which drew a lot of attention to it at first especially since it was such a different take on similar games.
The game that everyone loved had turned into something terrible. The one of a kind sandbox battle royale game turned away from the special game that many people loved and settled for a few big deals worth a lot of money. It didn't quite pay off though. The potential revenue they could've collected by keeping the game on track.
In recent years Fortnite has made a comeback that drew a lot of attention back to the game bringing in a lot of old players back into the game. However the game is ever changing and has a very inconsistent player count.
Fortnite is a great game and I would recommend playing it if you haven't yet, but don't be surprised when the game changes and you no longer like it.
