If you are looking for a college with sciences and the arts, Dickinson College is a great place to start. Dickinson College is located in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. It has been around since 1783. President James Buchanan attended there. Also, Dickinson is located near Molly Pitcher's grave and the site of the famous Carlisle Indian School. On its website, it is said that "Carlisle is a history buff's dream."
Degrees can be earned in Arts and Humanities, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Preprofessional Advising, and more. Dickinson College has many diverse students. They are also very involved in their program encouraging sustainability and going "green". Dickinson offers dorm-living opportunities as well as eligibility for houses and apartments.
Also, there are many added features at Dickinson. There is an art gallery, a bookstore, a large library, and much more. Dickinson has a radio station, student dramas, and student-produced CDs. Dining choices are another great thing offered there. On-campus dining is available, and the campus is surrounded by multiple restaurants.
Dickinson College is also a great place to be involved in a sports team. Their list of teams consists of baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, lacrosse, soccer, swimming, tennis, track, field hockey, softball, and volleyball.
Dickinson College's website says "Music, art, dance and theatre bring a unique perspective to the world. From the time it received its charter in September 1783, Dickinson College has been committed to providing students with an arts and sciences education that is useful, engaging and progressive."
