Lovely Killer of Twilight Town
I ran down the streets of Twilight town. Desperate to get to my friend's house before night arrived. I swiftly dodged bushes and trees as I took a shortcut. Suddenly I was tripped by a tree root. I plummeted to the floor with a screech. I landed with a heavy thump against the floor. My hands were lightly scraped and a little bit of skin hung from them. My knees on the other hand, were chopped and bleeding. I moaned in pain, sitting up,I looked for what had caused my knees to bleed so bad.
I gasped in horror and surprise as I stared at a deadly weapon. It was covered in blood. It was a long, heavy blade with a handle similar to that of an ax. I backed up in fear of such a weapon. I noticed the sun had almost completely disappeared behind the mountains. Only a dim light filled the clearing. I struggled to get to my feet. The blood on my legs began to flow faster. I winced in pain as I attempted to walk. The scarlet liquid running from my wounds looked black in this light. The pain shot through me again as I took another step. Suddenly I caught a flicker of movement out of the corner of my eye.
I looked to see what it was and gasped in relief. It was a person walking toward where the tree was. "Hey!" I called, "Over here! Please help me!" For a minute I thought I saw his head turn to look at me,but he just kept heading for the tree. I couldn't help but wonder what he was doing. He seemed so casual, and he seemed unaware of what lay beyond the tree. He had finally approached the spot where I had found the ghastly weapon. He bent down and I held my breath as tension built inside me. My eyes grew wide in shock as he picked up the weapon. I watched intently as he held it proudly. I noticed his gaze turn back to me. I felt uncomfortable as he began to slowly trudge toward me. "Rose," I heard a familiar voice whisper. "Rose, come here Rose," I noticed it was the man approaching me. "Leroy?" I called back.
"What happened?" his voice was full of concern. "That...that weapon in your hands," I stuttered looking to his enlightened green eyes.Leroy was my ex-boyfriend who I dumped a week ago. "Oh this?" Leroy asked holding it up so the street light gleamed off its bloody surface. "How did you know it was here?" I gulped. He took a menacing step toward me. "Because," he whispered in a threateningly soft voice," The weapon is...mine."
Those words caused me to shiver. I don't know why I didn't just run right then,I just couldn't help but ask the one last question on my mind. "How many people have you killed?" A large infamous grin spread across his face. "Too many to count. Are you afraid yet Rose? Are you going to run and make your death entertaining?" I looked at him,my gaze glossy with fear and confusion. "I could just kill you right now," he prompted. I glanced at him as I began to back up. "Monster," I cried. I turned and began to run for my life. "Monster!" I screamed even louder as he took off after me.
"That's my Rose, always obedient!" Leroy shouted in a smirking tone. I turned to see him catching up with me. I should have remembered he was faster than me. He swung the tremendous blade at me. I felt the wind of the blade.A small section of my hair was sliced and it fell to the floor.
I screeched as I felt the blade this time.It sliced deep into my back. I fell to the floor in a puddle of my own blood.I felt my eyes growing watery as tears flowed down my cheeks. "Goodbye Rose," Leroy said in a soft tone. "Leroy please!" I spluttered. He leaned down and gave me a kiss. I seemed too shocked to say anything else. I knew I could no longer fight my death. I peacefully drew in my last breath, ignoring the pain of the last blow. My life was at its end,the world around me faded away into darkness. Now I must deal with the rest of nothingness for eternity. Never to see the light of day again. Yet I will never forget that last kiss before I was killed. It was the kiss of death from the lovely killer of Twilight Town...
