Odd One Out
They are all the same… beautifully brown eyes like caramels. Always admiring the world around them. Zarea’s are like a dark chocolate syrup that you pour onto a sundae. Beautifully brown like chocolate. Shalissa’s are like chestnuts roasting on an open fire. Beautifully brown and rich. Niesha’s are like caramels melting on a sun-scorched summer day. Beautifully brown like caramel. Haley’s are like bronze brilliant orbs that leave you speechless. Beautifully brown and bright. Charisma’s are like silk freshly woven by intricate hands. Beautifully brown like magic. Jasmine’s are like the old oak trees that stand sturdy throughout the years. Beautifully brown and stubborn. Relinda’s are like cinnamon, spicy yet sweet all at the same time. Beautifully brown like sugar. Aniya’s are like pennies just freshly minted, straight off the press. Beautifully brown and shiny.
Like the sudden change in winds, there’s a lost pair of sadness. A quiet blue amongst lively shades of brown. Dull and dingy, silent and sorrowful, terrified and timid. The odd one out. Mine are like tears slipping down blemished cheeks. Melancholic blue like a desolate winter’s night. An old shade of blue that got stuck in colder weather.
