By Friday
It started a week after Benjy bought the 1967 Chevrolet Impala SS 427 Convertible. It got the first rust spot on the hood. Within 7 days the whole vehicle was covered with rust. The red paint on the vehicle disappeared on the 8th day. Surprisingly, the stripes were the last to rust. By Friday, the whole car was rusted out. Benjy drove to Van Nuys to get the exterior fixed by a body shop. The repair took an hour, after which Benjy drove to Hollywood for enjoyment.
