The Lone Soldier
It was an intense gunfight in the forest. Littered with soldiers, their limbs and body parts. A soldier peeked from his position behind the tree, as he slowly reloaded his weapon. Night had fallen. Frightened, he decided, I can’t sit here all day, I have to make a move. He leapt from his cover into the small ditch, but was shot in the arm. The enemy troops descended onto him and he knew it was over. He thought to himself, I tried my best, but now it’s the end. Maybe in another life, I can be a hero.
