The Girl
It was Christmas. All the stores were closed. The snow covered the ground. No one was outside in the frigid air except her. Everyone had gone home to their families. Everyone had someone or something to go home to. It was snowing and it was dark too and she had no place to go. Her ripped, dirty blanket wrapped around her. Her face crippled by tears. Each tear colder than the other. Each step felt heavier and heavier. Her head down trying to contain the cold within. She stood there in the bitter, chilly air and everything around her was a blur.
