The Day Melissa Went To Heaven
On November 12th, 2017, Melissa awoke to the sound of chirping birds, her favorite wake up alarm. All Melissa wanted to do was hit the snooze button, but she knew she would get in trouble by her boss if she was late . So Melissa propped up out of the bed and stretched, then slowly made her way to her bathroom to take a shower. After, she got dressed, and ate a delicious breakfast that consisted of fresh eggs that were steaming off her plate and juicy strawberries that melted in her mouth. After she finished her morning routine, she put on her shoes, grabbed her purse and headed out the door. As she was exiting her neighborhood, her typical morning journey would soon take an unexpected detour.
Growing up, Melissa was a well rounded kid. She grew up in a Christian family and went to church every Sunday. At the age of thirteen, Melissa accepted Jesus into her heart and got baptized. She always followed the rules and had the most positive attitude. She obeyed her parents and always thought about God put God first before her own desires. Melissa never gave up on spreading the word of God. Anyone she could talk to, she would always share the gospel, even if no one wanted to hear it. Melissa was always very persuasive. She knew that the Lord and Savior had a plan for each person and all she wanted to do was broadcast to all nations and people as God commands in His Words. As Melissa got older, she pursued higher education in hopes of obtaining a business degree.
As Melissa was driving down highway 455 a car came out of nowhere and T-boned her. The deafening sounds of screeching tires could be heard miles away, leaving behind a trail of evidence for traffic homicide investigators. Melissa’s white camaro flipped several times in the air before crashing down on the pavement wheels up. Melissa’s eyes flashed before her life. It all happened so fast, she had no time to react. The ambulances arrived soon after, but it was already too late. Melissa had no pulse. The paramedic declared “time of death: 10:30am.” As soon as Melissa crashed, she was blinded by a bright white light that descended upon her. Melissa was walking toward a pair of mammoth golden gates that were so shiny, they were beaming. As soon as Melissa arrived at the gates they immediately opened and she walked through pure white fluffy clouds. Once she took in the view of heaven, she heard a voice that came over her, and not once did Melissa have any kind of fear.
Melissa could hear a majestic voice, but she couldn’t see anyone. When she heard the voice she knew right then that it was God. God then abruptly said in a calm way “Melissa, you are here in heaven, You died in a car crash and that has been my plan for you since you were born. Take a big look around because you wont be here much longer. I’m sending you back to Earth because you have great things to still finish there. I brought you to heaven so I could talk about those things with you.” Melissa was overwhelmed with happiness because she finally got to see the heavens that she has been reading about her whole life.
God wanted Melissa here with him in heaven so he could go over what he expected Melissa to do when she went back to Earth. “ I want you to make a difference on Earth, so here on my expectations for you to do that: first I want you to mentor someone who needs to know me, invest time into that person and really drill in their brain that I am real and my son died on the cross for them. Next I want you to go around and share that you have been to heaven and you have heard me. Many people don’t believe I am real and I need you to bring the gospel to life by sharing your heavenly experience. My triumphant return to Earth is quickly approaching so sharing your testimony could make the difference where one's soul spends eternity. Melissa, you need to understand that you hold no power in controlling the people’s decisions, however your persuasive testimony will plant seeds that the Holy Spirit will use to reveal the truth to loss souls. Stated God in a loving but strict way.
Melissa assured God that she would be faithful and carrying out Gods’ commands of her.. After God was done talking, Melissa took another look around before she had to go back to Earth. As she was walking by she saw all of her relatives and friends that had passed away. Melissa saw how happy they were and she couldn't wait till she came back one day. Meanwhile It was time for her to go back. In the hospital Melissa’s parents and fiance were hovered around her hearing her flatline heartbeat. Melissa’s family held hands and prayed over her. Then all of a sudden they heard a heartbeat. Every one of her family members were in total shock. Her fiance yelled “ Doctor, Doctor, she has a heartbeat!” The Doctor came in and said that this had to have been a miracle from God because there’s no way this has ever happened before. The family knew that God was watching over them the whole time but what they didn't know was that Melissa had had a full fledged conversation with God.
About thirty minutes later, Melissa was awake and aware of what was happening. The first thing she wanted to do was tell her family that she had been to heaven. Her family members rushed to her side as they saw her eyes slowly lift open. Melissa explained to them where she had been and they were ecstatic . Melissa had a long road to recovery but it was totally worth meeting God. She had one broken arm and one broken leg. Once Melissa healed she was going to be on a mission to keep her promise to God and spreading the gospel to all nations.
Six months went by and Melissa was completely healed. It was time for Melissa to find someone to mentor. One bright and sunny Sunday Melissa arrived at church, she noticed a young girl, probably in her early twenties. This girl looked to be filled with rage and anger and also looked to be confused. “Hi, I'm Melissa welcome to my church, what's your name?,” Melissa said in a joyful and settle tone. The girl then proceeded to tell her, her name was Katie and she came to the church to know how God is real. Melissa knew this was a sign from God. Later after church Melissa took katie out to lunch to get to know her better. Melissa made a plan with Katie that they would have a meeting spot every week where Melissa could share how God is real to katie. Katie was hesitant at first but with Melissa persuasiveness, Katie agreed.
The next step in meeting God's expectations was for Melissa to share her testimony, which included being in heaven for a short amount of time. Melissa went around and spoke at a lot of different events. Her speaking really made an impact on people. At Melissa’s events, you had an option to get saved. About one fourth of people got saved at her events, which is actually a lot when these people came from not believing in Jesus.
Many years went by and Melissa stayed true to spreading the gospel. As Melissa came to the end to her life she was excited to see God for a second time. Melissa would soon be reunited with God, but this time would be for eternity. Melissa couldn't help but be proud of herself for the many seeds she had planted and played a small role in helping loss souls discover the truth. As Melissa’s eyes closed for the very last time, the next words she would hear would be from a familiar majestic voice proclaiming well done my good and faithful servant.

I wrote this narrative to encourage people to preach the word of God. I also wrote this because God can do anything and he is the almighty just like what he did to Melissa.
