Summer Nights
Even when I was a little kid, I could never get any sleep during the hot summer nights of mid July. I would toss and turn recklessly every couple of minutes trying to find a comfortable position. And when I thought that I finally found it, my arms would start to ache, my head would feel like it was hanging too far off the pillow. I could run my hands over my body and feel a layer of stagnant sweat. The heat would choke my every last breath. I felt if i didn't turn the other way, my skin would stick to the sheets and my lungs would be clogged up with fire.
