The Chase
My adrenalin began to get in my way. My nervous nature shook my bones; I was way too far ahead. I could hear the others voice faintly, but I refused to listen. I would have no recollections of this night. The dark shiny pavement stood dead silent in front of my faded converse prints. I was running in circles. We all were. My heart began to pound hard in my ear, the ground made a shift to the right, throwing me off balance. My knee scraped the sidewalk, blood mixing with the mud now consuming my lower body.
