The players meet at the practice field, they say to each other “it’s the first cut day guys” and they dress up and start doing drills, then they look up and see coach walking towards them. He says “well, guys I have good news and I have bad news. The players get nervous and look at each other and think to themselves what is the bad news, so the coach inhales and says well the good news is today 60% of the 100% made the first cut and the bad news is, well, we only have 3 home games this year and 10 away games. So the players say “well, that’s not that bad of news” wow, says Jon I made the first cut this year, now only one more to go. The next day is the last cut, and all the players are ready, there working hard, running hard, not missing a step in there drills, 2 hours later the coach comes out of the sky box from watching his players, and says “okay, good day of try-outs guys, I like to see the effort, but some of you will get cut today”. So the players look at each other, nervously sweat beaming from there face because the Sun and then the coach reads of the list name by name he reads of Troy, Cam, and Adrian’s name first, Jon scared because Coach has gone through 19 names already and only 30 spots open. Jon knowing he didn’t even make first cut last year and he made first cut this year all he needs is to make the team he is a strong linebacker, built for speed and agility, he just doesn’t understand why he hasn’t been called yet and then, all of a sudden the last spot number 30 the coach says Jon Beason, and he looks from side to side and he realizes his name has been called in his head he says “see that’s how Working Hard Helps You in the End.
