“You can’t! We have to stay together!” bellowed Adrianna. Her best friend Skylar had just told Adrianna sad news. Skylar whispered while holding back tears,” I have no choice. My parents are making me move!” Living in the state of Ohio, the two best friends thought of Skylar’s new home, Florida as a foreign planet.
The next day, Adrianna sobbed softly as Skylar and her parents moved the tan cardboard boxes to their gray SUV. As they said their goodbyes, Skylar shrieked out the window, “We can write every day! Don’t you worry, Adrianna!” Adrianna waved goodbye and ran to her pink and blue bedroom. She immediately began writing her first letter to Skylar.
Many days went by. Skylar and Adrianna replied to each other’s letters in excitement. Each would wait at the mailbox in the afternoon for the letters. Time went by when neither wrote letter. Whole months went by when Adrianna forgot about Skylar. Later, Skylar found an old letter and decided to write a new note to Adrianna. The note explained about their new friends.
