Zoe and Alfie have been dating for about a year now, and they’ve flown a couple times before but not many.This will be their first Christmas together, so they want it to be perfect, but what happens isn’t what they planned.
   Today was the day we were taking our flight back to London.When we arrived at the airport the weather seemed fine.A few minutes went by waiting to get through airport security.
   After security we waited for them to call our flight number.As we sat in the waiting area, it started to snow.The snow was coming down really
fast ,then they said our flight would be delayed.
Zoe thought it would be a good idea to call a taxi, and drive to a hotel until they heard anything further about the about their flight. When Alfie called for a taxi, they said the roads were iced over so they couldn’t come.
   This made them feel anxious, but they were okay with it until the building went completely black.In which Zoe let out a shriek, and grabed on to Alfie’s shirt, because she is afraid of the dark, so they sat like thet till they fell asleep.
   When Alfie awoke the power was back on, and the lights looked were so bright they looked like the sun.He checked his phone to see that they had only slept a few hours.
   Alfie looks out the window to see that it has stopped snowing.He shakes Zoe awake, and she sees the lights are back on, and asks a worker if the flight is still delayed.The worker tells her that “ no the flight will be boarding shortly”.
   Zoe and Alfie got their things, got on the plane, and got home with just enough time to send time with their family, open presents,and drink some hot tea.
