All Thats Left
“Mmm, mmm, mmm” The phone ring. “Mmm, hello ... Saleem?” Someone picks up.
“Did you talk to your daughter?” In a worried voice.
“What? Whaaa… What are you talking about?” She answered in a confused tone.
“She... Oh my god! It happened so quickly.” Said Basil.
“Calm down son, CALM DOWN! First what happened? Where’s Blasin?” Curiously spoken.
“I didn’t mean it mom, I swear… Mom... I didn’t mean it!” He responded.
“What Basil?” She said once again.
“She’s dead.” And he hung up the phone…
On the day of her funeral he stood behind the stand and said ….
“I miss her so much, we all know she is in a better place. I didn’t know what people meant when they said “Your actions always follow up with a consequence” until now. I was so shocked that I hit her back, it was all out of anger. She kept pushing me and punching me, I had to stop her some way. If I see her again, I would say sorry a million times. But instead of me apologizing for my mistake I just took a walk that day. When I came back she was gone, the only memories left of her were torn up photos and the notes she left by the opened window. I didn’t think she would be gone forever. Why was the car speeding so fast down the street? I remember like yesterday... It was a blue Toyota. Blasin was an amazing girl. Even though she had anger issues and a bad temper, overall she was a nice person to be around. I couldn’t believe this she’s really gone, she didn’t deserve this. I loved her she much... That should’ve of been me on that ground. I know it’s wrong to question God but this not right. How could he take something so precious from me? The lesson I learned from this sad tragedy was to cherish your times with the person you love because you will never know when it’s their time. Even though I can’t see you I know you’re still here with me and I want you to know I love you and I’m sorry. Rest in Peace Baby Girl”
