Tying Up Loose Ends In A Nice Little Bow
Anybody looking for me? No? Good, cause I don't wanna be found! Anybody care about me? No? Good, cause I honestly don't need them to care. Anybody wanna hear a story? No? Too bad! I was abandoned when I was ten, tossed into a ward when I was eleven, confused when I was twelve, but now all they wanna do is take me back, take me back, keep me safe, make me feel loved, oh, you didn't know how to handle me? That's fine, because you didn't even know how to take care of your own son! You took me in, but didn’t see the problem when you religious nutcase sister showed up to show me some care, some love and some kindness, but the brat couldn't control himself, apparently, depression doesn't run in the family, it's caused by me! Apparently, everybody else is terrible compared to your sweet, Christianly glow! Apparently, DHS just wants to steal away the children from their ultimately good and lawful mother and stash the kiddies away in crappy homes where we eat nothing but junk food. Apparently, foster care and adoption is a punishment for the ten year old kids who don't tell the truth 24/7 and just had their world turned upside-down! Apparently, all children will circulate through the system, never belonging. Well, guess what? I finally belong somewhere and now you want to rip it away from me with those whimsical acrylic nails? I can't believe this...Not even for a minute. A second. A breath. A blink of my hazel eyes. I can't begin to imagine what crazy reason you are so driven to have me back. Is it because now you all see me doing fine or do you need someone to finish your kid's senior year level homework for him? Well, guess what? I'm not your daughter, niece, cousin or granddaughter anymore. You gave me up, so now I am returning the favor. Your welcome, although I should be thanking you for motivating me to let go. Goodbye.
