Disneyland!!!

Its finally happening I'm going to Disneyland!! I remember the night perfectly, when my parents first told my sisters and I that we were going to the best place on earth. There was a lot of screaming along with my little sister crying. After weeks of waiting we started packing for it. The car was ready, so it was time to start our long car drive to Disneyland. It was days from Halloween so everything was decorated. I was so excited and scared, just the thought that I was going gave me tingles all over! The car ride was around sixteen hours long so it took forever. When we were driving I fell asleep in all of the excitement, and I awoke to Avery (my little sister) screaming Gabi! Gabi! We are here!! I instantly rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and looked  out the window. There it is, the moment I have been waiting forever for! There's Disneyland! I got out of the car and ran to the front of our hotel. I can't believe it….i'm so close! We checked into our hotel as well as Disneyland.
When we walked through the front gate it felt like a little piece of heaven fell from the sky, and we were in it. That's when we looked for our first ride. The first one that came into sight was “The Matterhorn”. The line wasn't super long but, it still took forever. I was starting to get tired and impatient until we finally got seated. That's when all of my adrenaline kicked in. We got all strapped in, then I hear the roar of a snow monster. The ride had officially begun, then like lightning we went up a giant ramp where the abominable snowman sat. I felt the seat slowly tilt then we went straight down. After a continually amount of bumps we went through a giant puddle. I was soaking wet! But lucky for us it wasn't super cold.
Our next ride was the “Haunted Mansion”. I had been dreading going on this one since I had been told about the ride. I have always been scared of the littlest things, and this was something I had not been looking forward too. Because it was Halloween time everything was a little creepier than usual. When we walked up the steps my stomach was twisting and turning, I was not excited for this at all. Then I hear an ear bleeding scream, it did not help my emotions at all. It was our turn to start the ride. I took a giant breath and walked in, when we were officially in  I felt like I was going to be sick….. The first thing was saw was a long  hallway with big creepy portraits. When you would walk by one its eyes would follow you until you approached the next. At the end of the hall there was roller coaster seats. When we hopped in I went with my big sister Ashlee and Avery went with my parents. After a long pause the roller coaster started to move. I felt like a dork. It wasn't scary at all! The themes were “The Grinch that Stole Christmas” and “The Nightmare Before Christmas”. When the ride ended I had mixed emotions about it, I was happy and upset.
“Indiana Jones” was next on the list! After a little bit of waiting in line we got into these individual jeeps that started the ride. Indiana Jones was narrating everything on a nice and easy track when the roller coaster went straight down, I screamed so loud! When we recovered from that we came into a room with treasure, silver and gold, a really big snake slithered after us, that was on fire! After that craziness a Ginormous boulder started to race towards us and at the last second we dropped straight down out of the room and the ride was sadly over. That was one of my favorite rides. We sadly couldn't stay at the best place on earth all night, so we returned back to our hotel. The next morning we all awoke with big cheesy smiles on our faces. It was our last day there, so we had to make the most of it. It was around nine O'clock when our next adventure began. It was California adventure time!
“The California Screamin” was calling our name. Because my sister was too little and didn't want to go on it my mom and her went on the ferris wheel. It was just Ashlee, My dad and I left, and because it was pretty early there was no one else on the ride. I was so happy and scared! This was the only ride that went upside down and it was the most wild. We hopped in and straped each other in. That's when the ride started. It shot straight up and slowly went over an edge and then zoomed straight down and went in a bunch of circles, I was screaming the whole time! I was so scared. Next we went upside down. I lunged forward because of the quick stop and realized that we were hanging upside down. All of the blood in my body started rushing to my head, I started to feel queasy then ZOOM! We very abruptly finished the loop and stopped in the same spot we started. It was so much fun! My family grouped back together at the base of the ferris wheel. Apparently the cages that the people were in on the ferris wheel slid on these big bars, and it was the only ride throughout the whole park that had sick bags. So my mom and little sister had a very interesting ride.
We went on many more rides that day, and it was the best time I have ever had! I know for a fact that I will be visiting Disneyland again and I would recommend it to anyone. Later that night we were told that we were going to a beach house and staying there for a week. All I knew was I was going to have some of the best days of my life, and I am super grateful that I had the chance to experience everything that happened. My next adventure had just begun!

this is one of the first articles I've read that started happy, stayed happy, and ended happy. Most of the time when I read articles like this I end up running into an...er... "unpleasent" ending.
