I finished reading the last msg then I logged off and turned my pc off 2.

I had a crush on kris since the 5th grade, which is when we had met.
He is Mexican, nice, knows how to treat a girl, and gets good grades, he is my knight in shining armor.
Jorge was moving to Chicago, because his dad had gotten a better job there.

I lived in Stickney, and so I had other friends too, like Blake, Ginka, and Bianka, etc. etc. etc.

I was really close to Blake though. He was a twainer and by that I mean that he went to Mark Twain School, my skool and his were enemies and we called ppl that went to his skool twainers. But even though we were supposed 2 hate each other, I felt he was like a part of me I never knew I had. Like a brother from another mother. XD I’m not kidding really that’s how I feel.
Any way, he told me everything just like I told him everything that went on in our lives. Sometimes it felt like he knew me better than me myself and I. And I always knew everything that went on with him. I always knew when he had something in his mind or when he felt guilty or any of his feelings.

I had already changed into shorts and a t-shirt when my phone rang. Could it be kris already? No, it was Blake.

Me:
Hello, how may I help u?

Blake ( I might abbreviate as B):
Yes I wanted to order my best friend amy?

Me:
Yes, let me check if we still have her in stock (pause)
Yes I think we do, ur order will arrive in 2 seconds……….

B:

Me:
Sure so ok spill it, wat’s on ur mind?

B:
Me? Nothing, really.

Me:

B:
I’m just curious, u know since u’ve been bragging that u’ve changed so much this summer, I was wondering if u’d like to meet me at our place l8r?

Our secret place was this tree house we built in this one place where there are lots of trees I don’t think anybody knows of it besides us and well we hang out there together and alone, sometimes just to think.

AT THE TREE HOUSE
I climbed up the ladder and opened the door to the house.
Nobody was inside, I guess Blake was having a hard time getting passed his mom. She didn’t trust him and she always bugged him about everything she could think of. Like one time she asked him where he was going and he said out and she started yelling at him for no reason at all and about stuff that didn’t even fit with the subject, like “ u better not be going to a wife I don’t know about and her baby!!!!!”
Stuff like that. It’s like ’ok? Wat’s ur problem?’ right?
But oh well she wasn’t very well at having an eye on her kids so he always got away.

THE BET
I took this time to touch up on my singing. I loved to sing even though not in front of a crowd, maybe one or 2 ppl, that I trusted.
I sat on my bean bag and took my ipod out. I picked to sing “SO MUCH BETTER” from LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL
Half way through the song, Blake opened the door and sat on his chair, he liked my singing,(his words).
[ I finished]
B:
That was good and let me see, stand up for me?
[I stood]
B:
U look good but u know u looked like that in my eyes always
(I blushed)
[I sat back down]
Me:
Ur just saying that.
B:
U know very well I’m not, amy.
Me:
Ok, so anyway wat took u so long?

B:
O u know the usual, cranky mom, blah blah blah.
Me:
Hmm

B:
Wat about u? wat happened this morning?
[ he took a water bottle out of the ice cooler we had in here]

Me:
Nothin special, I just talked to jorge he’s having a few trust issues with Mayra, he thinks she’s jealous that he’s been tlking to me, jorge says he thinks this becuz she told him I had a “boyfriend” and I don’t . but other than that it was the usual morning.
Hey, pass me some water.
[he took out another water bottle]
B:

[he gave it to me]

B:
Come on, with ur new clothes, and your nice attitude, all the guys will want to be with u.

Me:
No they won’t

B:

Me:

Wat we both like them. But fine I’ll bet u they won’t like me that way, if I win , hmmmmmm, I know, u love hoho’s rite?
If I win, u cant eat them for a week.

B:
And if I win, u can’t eat chocolate for a week, not a single lick of it, deal?
[he put his hand out]

[I shook his hand]

B:
Ok we’re gonna go anyplace where I think guys are, u’ll say hi to every one of them, and if 10 guys don’t try to start a conversation with u, by the end of the day, u win.

Me:
Fine let’s go.

[ I opened the door and started to climb down]
I waited for Blake by the entrance to this place where they kept the trees. Could he be right? Will guys start liking me like that? No, he just wants to mess with me. I’ll win.

B:
Ok we’ll go to the park first.

Me:
Fine, whatever.
[We walked]

THE PARK
When we got to the park, I saw like 5 ppl from my skool, 3 from Blake’s, and 2 freshies from high school, who used to go to my skool.
Me:
Blake, wait, wouldn’t I be starting the convo. If I say hi first?
Wat about if they say hi first instead?
All u have to do is make sure they c me, yeah?

BACK AT THE TREE HOUSE
So who cares who won rite?
I mean it was a silly bet no biggy. Ok, fine I’ll tell u who won, m-blake!
So I didn’t win turns out losing a lot of weight gives guys a convo starter. We went, to the park and well 3 from there even though they all said hi, other than that nothing other than the 3, then we went to baskin robins, and 5 guys said something to me other than hi. That’s 8. Then we were planning to go to walgreens but on our way 3 guys started a convo. So we got 11. It wont be that bad anyway. It’s just chocolate rite? I’ll make it.
So know we’re back @ the tree house and I’m getting ready to leave. Whats weird though is that every time a guy did start a convo, I felt Blake getting like tense or something. Issues.
B:
well I won and now I’m bored.

Me:
Me 2 well its already 7 so I gotta go home cuz I’m going to a wedding tomorrow. My moms friend. I’m a bridesmaid.

B:
O me too I forgot, but I don’t know whose and I have no clue who my partner is.

Me:
Me neither but I bet u’ll look charming in ur suit.
B:
And u’ll look beautiful.

Me:
U’re so sweet ok enough I really gotta go, c u ’round?

B:

[I climbed down]
He lived to the left of this place and I lived to the right so this was like or goodbye.
I turned and walked then I turned and waved to him.
I was about a block and a half away from my house when my phone rang. Jorge.
Me:
Hello?

Jorge (j):
She finally left, she saw me logging off fast so she got suspicious and started saying that I was cheating on her with u and then I mentioned that u weren’t the only girl I talked to so, that got her pissed nd she said she was getting tired of not trusting me and me not telling her everything so I don’t know she broke up with me.

Me:
WOW how do u feel?

j:
I don’t know, I’m not mad sad happy surprised, nothing maybe that’s why we broke up, we didn’t actually like each other. So wats up with u?

Me:
n/m I just lost my chocolate eating privileges 4 a week.

j:
How?

Me:
Me and Blake had a bet and I lost. No biggy.

j:
Who’s blake?

Me:
Oh sorry Blake’s my friend he knows everything about me and so yeah.

J:
O well ill tlk 2 u l8 I’m going to the movies with some friends.

Me:
Ok, bye.
[I hung up]

I went in my room, and sang in my room and read books and talked to my grandma, then I went to sleep.

WEDDING DAY
I woke up at 7am, ate breakfast, an egg and 1 toast, and orange juice. Then I took a shower. When I came out it was 8am. I went in my room and put some just-for-now clothes on then I flossed and brushed my teeth. After that I took my light purple dress out along with my white slip-ons. It was 8:30am. I straightened my hair and put on the light purple bandana. Now it was 10am. Everyone had finished getting ready. We had to go to the bride’s, rosa’s house first to figure out the partners and get the stuff we’re there for.

[at rosa’s house]
We walked in and found the couple arrangements in the wall taped down. My partner’s name was Blake, weird kind of like the one I know but even though he said he was going to a wedding I don’t think he meant this one. All the stuff was on a table. I grabbed the 2 bubble baskets( instead of rice)(that hurts and makes a mess this is easier) we left the guys were gonna be in the church. 10:30 the wedding was at 10:45am
We entered the church and I looked around 4 a dude around my age so I wouldn’t have to ask all the guys if their name was Blake.
I was still searching when some one tapped me on the shoulder.
Unknown:
Excuse me, r u Daisy?

I turned, it was Blake! The one I knew, he was looking at apiece of paper he had in his hand.
Me:
Blake?

[he looked up]
B:
Daisy? I didn’t know we were both coming to this wedding and we’re partners? How cool?

Me:
I know rite?
Here u go,
[ I gave him one of the baskets]
This is gonna be gr8!

B:
Yeah

[L8 ON]
The bride got here and the groom was up front. Every1 was inside. Music started playing. Couples started to go in. {dum dum de dum}
Our turn.
We went in and sat in the second to first row. As usual the ceremony felt like a year but it was only 2 hours.
After that, we went to the actual party of the wedding.
The place was indoor, chilly, (which felt good after being in 86 degrees outside)and had a lot of space.
We sat and ppl talked and ate. Rosa was american and she had heard me sing before and liked my voice. She asked me if I could sing “with you” by CHRIS BROWN for her, and she had also asked Blake, cuz even though he doesn’t do this much, he sings too and is really good and has a good voice. So it was time, I nudged Blake.

Me:
Come on we gotta go sing!

B;
I’m not singing

Me:
Wat? Y not? She asked u too

B:
Fine but you start and I’ll join in.

Me:
Ok but if u don’t sing I’ma kill u, promise u wont make me sing alone. Cuz the only reason I said ok was cuz I wasn’t gonna do it alone.
B:
I promise

[he wasn’t lieing]

Me:
Ok
[I got up on stage and took the mic.]

Me:
Ppl listen, (pause)
[so many eyes and ears! How am I gonna do this?]
Hi, my name is Daisy and I’m gonna sing ‘with you’ for Rosa and Micheal. [I gave the DJ the sign to start the music] I sang mostly all of it, * with u with u with u with u with u *( that’s where Blake joined me)
[finished]

B:

Me:
U practically didn’t sing at all!

B:

[I turned, o my god it’s jorge!]

J:
Well that lady’s my mom’s friend.

Me:
O my god, this is so cool


B:
[fake coughing]

Me:
Oh sorry, umm Jorge, this is Blake, Blake Jorge.

[l felt it again, Blake tensing up]
Me: (to blake)
R u ok?
I think ur getting tense.
[I grabbed his arm, yep it felt tense]
b:
Im fine I just need to get out of here [he pulled his arm free and walked away]

J:
Wats his problem?

Me:
I don’t know I just hope he didn’t go outside I think it’s raining.

[ppl were dancing]

J:
Hey u wanna dance?

Me:
Sure

[the song changed from fast to slow]
We were dancing, weird I had always dreamed of dancing with Jorge, but something didn’t feel rite, It felt like I was being watched, I looked all around and found Blake staring at me and Jorge dancing, his arms crossed , he looked disappointed. As soon as he knew I had seen him, he walked, practically ran outside into the hard pouring rain.
I did wat I knew was rite, I pushed Jorge away.

Me:
Blake,

[I started to run]

Jorge catched up to me the door was already open. He grabbed my arm

j:
don’t go
Me:
I have to

j:
If u go I wont tlk 2 u, ever again

[I could still see Blake]
Me:
y?

j:
Cuz I like u and if u go that will mean u don’t want 2 be with me

[I shook his arm off]

I ran out in the rain I heard Jorge call from inside:
Ur making a big mistake!

I don’t care,
Me:
BLAKE!! WAIT!

He heard me, he kept walking, I ran faster, I hadn’t eaten other than breakfast and it was 7pm, I started to feel dizzy, I remember yelling with all I had left,:
WAIT! HELP ME! PLEAse help,…
I fell
Black I cant remember anything that happened during that .

I woke up flat on something hard, I opened my eyes I didn’t bother to move. I looked up and I saw wood, it reminded me of the one, from the tree house. I remembered, Blake! He had run away.
Me:
Blake!
[I tried sitting up]
My head hurt and I still felt dizzy.
b;
Im rite here, don’t move to fast, and try to eat, I brought u a sandwich ur fave and the best kind I make, peanut butter.

Me:
Thanx, wat happened?
I cant remember.

b:
U fainted, ur lucky I was still close enough to hear u, after u screaming and I couldn’t hear u very well I turned and u were on the floor, I brought u to my house so I could make the sandwich and then I brought u here.

Me:
Thank u, u’re the best,
[I ate the sandwich]
But how’d u bring me here, did u tell some 1? U don’t know how to drive, wat happened?

b:
I know, I didn’t tell any1 and I didn’t drive, hey I don’t want to kill u or me, I carried u here.

Me:
Carried?

b:
Yeah like a baby.
Ive been working out.

Me;
Whatever, [I smiled] thanx
Wait!
Wat time is it?

b:
7:30pm

Me:
Oh thank god,
b;
Wat?

Me;
Nothing but I gotta get home, thank u for everything ask me for any thing, go right now, go.

b:

Me:

He turned he was by the cooler.
I jumped on his back, and hugged him.

b:
I know I carried u here all the way from the wedding, but r’nt u a little old to play piggy back rides?

Me:
Im not playing, im hugging u that’s my thank u.

b:
Oh [ he turned] then do it rite

I hugged him ‘rite’ and rested my head on his shoulder.

Me:
U smell good.
[I smiled]

b:

Me:
Thank you for opening my eyes.

[he let go]

b:

Me:
Thanx to u I don’t like Jorge anymore he likes all the attention to himself.

b:

Me:
When u left, I was gonna go after u, he said that if I went outside, he wouldn’t tlk to me forever. Becuz he “liked” me

It was barely 8, so nobody was home, well other than my grandparents and my 1 year old brother.

When I came out I put on some pj’s
I watched tv and ate a bowl of cereal. After that I went to sleep, wow today had been a long day.

MORNING
I woke up, and ate. I was still tired and sore ‘specially since I had fallen. SHHH, don’t tell anyone.
It was 10 am. Talk about a good night sleep. ;]
I was in my room watching tv when I got a txt.

Daisy, I’m sorry about the way I acted, I don’t know what came over me, I guess seeing how much u cared about Blake, I don’t know it just got me feeling all weird and shit. Will u forgiv me? Me:

J:
I got (PAUSE) jealous ok? I didn’t like the idea of u spending so much time with Blake, I wanted u to like me, not him.

Me:
He’s my friend, he knows me better than any1, he’s like a part of me.

J:
I know we wont be more than friends, but can we be atleast that?

Me:

[I answered the other call]

B:

I know but he did call he said the only reason he had acted like that was becuz he was jealous.

B:

Me:
No, I don’t I meant wat I said yesterday, I don’t want a boyfriend rite now.

b:

I wanted to be alone so, i decided to go to the treehouse.

TREEHOUSE
I sat on my chair I don’t know, I was gonna just close my eyes and think, enjoy nature.
I heard birds singing and silence, this felt good. I heard footsteps, we had built a little window, I went over and looked out. It was Blake. I sat back down. He started climbing and opened the door. He looked at me.
b:
Hey,

Me;
Hi, came to think?

b:
Yeah
[ I closed my eyes again and listened to the birds singing]
We stayed in silence.
b:
Daisy?

Me:
Hm?
[I didn’t open my eyes]

b:
Do u wanna know why I came here?

Me:

b:
My mom thinks im not responsible so I’m Gonna have to go to paris, where my dad lives, for a month.

Me:
What? [ I opened my eyes and sat up]
Ur leaving?

[tears started to prick the back of my eyes]

b:
Yeah, but only for a month, I’m leaving tomorrow, will u meet me here tomorrow at 1pm?

Me:
Yeah

b:
Before I leave, to pack, I wanted to give u something.

b:

[he took something out of his pocket]

~ it was a homemade bracelet~
It had a blue/green/purple/yellow(all light) yarn with 4 light blue beads, 3 gray/black beads and 4 light blue beads again. Blue is my favorite color.

Me:
O my god, its beautiful.

[he took my right hand and put it on]
b:
I know u like the color blue, and well my favorite color is dark gray, almost black , so I combined them.
Now I gotta go, I’ll c u tomorrow.

Me:
Yeah, and blake,
[he turned and looked at me]
Thank you for everything.

The bracelet was beautiful, I will never take it off.

LEAVIN’
It was about to be 1. I was ready. I went to the tree house. Blake was already there. He was sitting on a chair looking out the little window. He looked sad and excited at the same time.
Me:
Hi

b:
Hey,
[he looked at me]

Me:
O come on, smile, its only for a month, and it wont be that bad.
[ I faked a smile]

b:
[ smiled]
Ur gonna miss me r’nt u?

Me:
Well, yeah, I mean u r my friend, and I hang out with u almost all day.

b:
True,
[checks watch]
Ima leave in 10 min.s
[gets up]
I guess this is bye.

Me:
[I stood]

Blake:

[he’s about to open the door]
