Exerpt From Story: Trapped
“Yes?,” I whispered, my breath brushing his cheek. I heard him gulp.
“I saw your face. Your eyes, and I crawled towards them, finding comfort there. I knew that I would be safe...Hope, I don’t know what I would’ve done if I hadn’t met you.” I felt my eyes widen slightly and then I felt the cool caress of his fingertips against my chin. They lifted it slightly and his lips brushed lightly against mine. Soft and gentle as a feather. A strange, indescribable heat billowed around us like puffs of smoke, encasing us separate from the rest of the world. My heart pounded in my throat and I felt myself smile truthfully, for the first time in a long while.
