"'Impossible' is a relative term." ~Michio Kaku

We should all have been connected. No one was supposed to be left out. The instant I tried to communicate with anyone he should either reply or send a message "in conversation". This is why it was so scary when I tried contacting him today and received this in return "01010101 01101110 01100001 01100010 01101100 01100101 00100000 01110100 01101111 00100000 01100011 01101111 01101110 01101110 01100101 01100011 01110100".

That has never happened before. "Unable to connect" never happened with the system running as perfectly as it is today. Deaths are instantly registered under "Deceased", those who are busy at the moment "do not disturb". Never have I, or anyone for that matter, ever encountered a "Unable to connect".

I checked databases. His current location was marked "unidentified" and was last identified "Planet G03-902". The planet is currently at the coordinates (6870, 967045,09) taking the system's sun as (0,0,0). All activities reported normal, at the surface. This is getting more horrifying by the minute.

Another possibility, if even one at all, was that he succeeded in one of his "experiments" again. No one really knows what he actually does, but he had had a lot of privacy since birth, since being born with nearly 340 IQ marked him as a VIProfessor even before he could walk. He fully understood quantum physics at the age of three, and disproved string theory at the age of four, proposed an "infinite theory" at six, and since then, many other amazing discoveries which one of lower standard could not possibly imagine.

I tried contacting him again. "01100011 01101111 01101110 01101110 01100101 01100011 01110100 01101001 01101111 01101110 00100000 01100101 01110010 01110010 01101111 01110010" There is now a connection error. Like I said, this never happens. I try to rule out all impossibilities. He is not time travelling because connection will remain. In fact, connection will remain forever no matter what he is doing. That is, of course, unless he has found a new dimension only possible in theory of infinite theory, and not string theory.
Being now at G05-372, it will take at least a 12 day journey to get to G03-902, and even so, slight dilation will complicate it. Short dilation is also the basic reason why a lot opt to never travel from the point they can make accurate decisions for themselves.

Try again. "01100101 01110010 01110010 01101111 01110010 00100000 00110100 00110000 00110100 00111010 00100000 01110000 01100101 01110010 01110011 01101111 01101110 00100000 01101110 01101111 01110100 00100000 01100110 01101111 01110101 01101110 01100100". What was a Error 404 anyway? I only know of Error 1804 thru Error 2404. Unbelievable that a triple digit error still exists. That though, still doesn't explain why.

So why?

If you were a genius, explain completely quantum mechanics. and string theory and its connections to everything.

Nice job! I feel like I know that guy, because (Hello?) I am a girl genius.

Interesting and original. Your futuristic world is very well-thought-out, and your writing style, the way you give away just enough but nowhere near everything, keeps the reader drawn in. And the end leaves me wondering the same thing as your main character: why can't she (it is a she, right?) make the connection? Hope this is part of a series, 'cause I want to read more! Nice work:)
