Chan wakes up to the faint whispering he has been hearing for the past month. He looks around to study his surroundings. Living in the same apartment for years now, he sighs as he sees dirt crumbs on the ground, cans of soda all over the table, and a messy kitchen. “Felix obviously slept over.” He thought and went over to find him. There he found him watching on his brand new T.V. “Mate your T.V is awesome! I stayed up all night using it!” Felix said with his strong Australian accent. “Don’t you have somewhere to be?” Chan asked without caring. “OHHH… I gotta go to that new ice cream shop across the street! They’re giving out free ice cream! Want some?” He said with the biggest smile on his face. 

Felix and Chan have been friends since middle school. Day by day, they get closer. Now they act like brothers. “ No, my head already hurts, I don’t need ice cream to make it worse,” Chan says, rubbing his forehead. “ Oh, you okay mate?” Felix says in a concerning tone. “Yeah, I’m goo- arghh!” Chan falls to his knees while crashing his eyebrows together in pain. Felix rushes to his side forgetting all about his plans. He knew about Chan's headaches but he had never seen it this worse. “ Get up Chan, I’m taking you to the hospital.” Chan looks at him and refuses. “I’m fine Felix just go get your ice crea- Arghhhh!!” Chan screams in pain. Felix is terrified at the sight of his best friend literally suffering. He carries Chan on his shoulder and rushes to the hospital. It didn’t take long for them to arrive, Felix wasn’t focusing on the wheel because of Chans groaning. 10 minutes later, Felix finds himself in the waiting room, as he waits for Chan’s results.

The doctor rushes out of the room looking terrified. “What happened? How is he?” Felix asks desperately for an answer. “We took an x-ray test to take a look at what’s wrong with his head, you won't believe it but we saw this little figure inside his head smiling so creepily at us. He needs surgery right away, we need to find out what that is.” The doctor tells Felix in a rush. Felix was shocked. “Maybe that was the source of the whispers Chan has been hearing, he wasn’t kidding….” He thought while running to the emergency room trying to find his friend. Finally, he finds Chan staring into space while tears streaming down his face. “F-Felix, there’s something in m-my head, and he keeps warning me…” Chan says stuttering because of his pain. “ Don’t worry mate, I’ll stay by your side,” Felix says with a big smile making Chan smile back.

The door slams open showing surgeons and nurses coming in ready for the operation. “Excuse me, sir, we need you to leave so that we can continue the surgery,” A Doctor said. Felix nods his head and gives chan a smile before leaving. He waits outside the room. Minutes pass and Felix is using his phone while waiting for the results. Suddenly he hears screaming coming CHans room. “ That’s normal, I think?” Felix says out loud reassuring himself. The next scene shocks him. All the doctors and nurses run out of the room looking terrified. He then recognizes one of the muffled screams. “CHAN..” He says going to look for him, he slowly tiptoes to the room and sees a demon putting Chan into a chokehold. Before interfering, he listens to the conversation. “ You Promised You would Tell Any Body..”  The demon said with a creepy smirk on his face. “I‘m sorry, please l-let me go,” Chan says in a scared voice. That’s all Felix needed before grabbing a needle and stabbing the demon in the back.

 “ARGHH! You’ll pay for this!” The demon says before turning in ashes. “Felix… What did you do?!” Chan says while running his hands through his hair. “You knew about this? You knew that something was living in your BRAIN?!” Felix says feeling betrayed. Chan sighs,” If I told you, he would have killed me much earlier.” Felix starts at him and walks out of the room. Chan starts to tear up thinking that he lost his best friend. He sits on the chair near him and falls asleep. An hour passes and Chan wakes up to multiples of knocking on the door. He stands up, slowly walks to the door, and opens it to see, Felix! Chan smiles in relief, “Felix your back! Listen I’m sorr-” Felix interrupts him, “I brought ice cream!” They enjoy their ice cream and go home, thinking that everything has ended, but what they don’t know is that, someone is watching their every move.” Enjoy your friendship while it lasts…. CHAN..” The demon laughs and disappears.
