Mac's Fight
She looked at me.
Those glassy, staring eyes, grim from exhaustion. And filled with hatred.
"Who are you?" I growled, too tired to yell.
One second I was there, and then I was flying backwards onto the pavement. I didn't even have time to blink.
Suddenly, all I could feel was fear. Fear in all the universe.
"Who are you?"
The teenage girl still stood there, mute. I was frozen onto the floor, glued there, just waiting for the reply.
Then she leaned down and whispered, "I'm Mac. Don't you remember?"
