Swaying Memories

Memories washing up and down the shore
The smell or salt water stays still in the warm air
Freckles popping on my face like crabs in their shells
Getting splashed by the chilled water
Running along the water, the sand, the air
Lying down, my face pressed against the hot sand
Listening to the screeching seagulls hunting for food
Having the first lick of your melting ice cream
Memories washing up and down the shore
