Fiarce and the Ravens

The wind whispered sweet nothings to the tall grass and flowers in the meadow, to the trees in the forest. A waterfall trickled down into a stream, and the birds chirped. A man in a tall black hat stood at the edge of this meadow. His bushy brows furrowed and his eyes gleamed. Farther into the forest was a large big top, its red stripes fresh and bright. Inside was the man’s family, and all wore the clothes of clowns. This man stood there for a long while taking in the beauty before he must pack up his tent and head to the next town. He pet his beard, and began to turn back. The forest was calm that morning, unlike the others before. A crow, a single black and violet winged crow stopped in front of the man.

“Kaw, Kaw”, the bird spoke but that. Then in a furious
