Ruins
Breaking,
Falling,
Crying.
Words cutting
Through to
Her heart.
The once brave,
Outspoken girl
Shuts herself
From the world,
Hoping to find
Solace and peace
In the silence
Of her own thoughts.
But the daggers
They throw at her
Keep coming,
Closer and closer,
Until it hits her
Hard enough
That she may never recover.
She begs for them
To leave her alone,
But they are
Unrelenting,
And won't stop
Until she comes apart,
Leaving her as
Merely ruins of her
Former self.
