"Music, the greatest good that mortals know, and all of heaven we have below" -Joseph Addison

The pain begins with just a word
One word you blurt can hurt so much
And cause a downward spiral
In a person who’s self-value
Grows less and less each day
And so begins the torment…
Ugly, worthless, loser. The words that they hear
YOU are their biggest fear
The regret they feel
When they’d rather just forget
Brings them to believe
Your relentless banter
That they don’t matter
And the day they give up
Their fake smile fades away…
In that moment they feel…
Helpless and alone or better off dead
And the thoughts that fill their head:
A razor across my skin…
A knot encircling my neck…
Would end the hurt and pain
Cease my suffering…
But the bully would start anew and it begins again…
