Online Punches Still Hurt
Teens everywhere are being affected by bullying .To fix this we need to stop bullying but first we should stop cyberbullying. We can stop this by teaching lessons to kids at school about how to use the internet wisely and to not cyber bully kids. Also to tell them effects of cyber bullying.
Teens being cyberbullied is a growing problem. According to 43 percent of kids have reported to have been cyberbullied. Cyberbullying could be in the form of photos, messages and cruel web pages about someone. About 75 percent of students have visited a website that is making fun of another student.
Cyberbullying is the number one cause of teen suicide for kids ages 12-18. Being cyberbullied can lead to other bad things like drugs, alcohol, and skipping school. 4,400 deaths happen every year because of cyber bullying and they are all from suicide.Bullying victims are 2 to 9 times more likely to committing suicide.
Others might say that cyberbullying is not as bad as it seems. However kids who have been cyber bullied are more likely to use drugs and skip school.
The solution is that there should be restriction on the internet so that there can’t be cyberbullying. there should be restrictions like no swearing or violent language.
