Locally, some kids have gotten together to implement a program that creates artwork. Teenagers who used to go tagging illegally now spray paint legally at free art events. Now, crime rate is dropping, vandalism is ending in our community, and people are uniting for a better cause. We paint things with positive messages such as “Love” or “Unite” and gather all sorts of kids from the community. Kids ride around on their skateboards and watch or listen to music. Some of the kids who were on probation, going nowhere fast, are now painting murals at their schools and being recognized for their talents. Spray painting is usually associated with gangs and crime, but in my community, spray paint has brought us together!
