food kitchen
I have done a lot of community service in my life but there is one that has really stuck out and that was going to the food kitchen and serving to the poor. It was really fun to see all of the people so excited to see us serve them food. All of the people had the biggest hearts and always had a smile on their face. It was amazing to see that they could be so happy and know on the inside that this was all they had. We would sit down and talk with them and the stories they had to share were just incredible to hear.
Another experience I will never forget is going down to Harvesters food pantry to sort out different kinds of food. They had so many different kinds of food from produce to cereal. Someone would have to separate the fat between the nonfat or the good produce versus bad produce. I just glad we could help save time for all of the people at Harvesters and I hope I can go back again because it was an experience I will remember forever.
