Unknown Beauty MAG
The elm tree stands humbly in the junkyard.
Harsh winds of October strip theleaves
Of their true green glory.
Grayish, jagged limbs as humanarms
Reach out to grab young children
But I have seen the unknownbeauty in this tree
Encompassed by rusted metal.
The seemingly wickedbranches avoided by most,
Now are welcoming hands filled with sweet songbirds
that stay for more than a while.
