Books MAG
I really love the poem “Books” by Caroline W. I saw the title and immediately wanted to read it. I love reading; it is an escape from the cold, hard truth of reality. My friends don't understand how I can enjoy sitting down with a book and reading for hours but this poem really explains how I feel about books. They are more than just a collection of words.
The first line says, “Books are meant to be felt.” That may not make sense to some, but to me it's saying that books don't need to be physically experienced but rather mentally and emotionally felt. I think that's what the whole poem means: books are more an emotional escape than just a collection of words; they are meant to be felt.
