Opening to light
Last year in 8th grade
I saw the world in black and white
I’ve finally seen the light
Now I know that what I saw wasn’t true
Just the thought makes me blue
At the time I barely knew you
Or what you wanted me to do
I just wish I knew
What I know now
You love me with all your heart!
You’ve always loved me from the start
I just needed to look in your heart
Then I wouldn’t have been so blind
In heart and mind
You gave me what I needed
I couldn’t see it
But you knew my heart
I know now why I couldn’t see
I know why I couldn’t be free
You heard me
You fixed my broken heart
