High School
The best days of your life they say,
But it is not always this way.
All the cliques smiling in the hall,
Makes you feel like your part of the wall.
Do this and do that they say,
To look and act a certain way.
Always a struggle to fit in,
You feel like you can never win.
Designer jeans and fancy cars,
If you don’t have them, you won’t get far.
They don’t care how nice you might be,
With their judgmental eyes, they just don’t see.
Maybe one day things will change,
But things will probably just stay the same.
