Gun Violence

Due to many of the shootings that have taken place in America recently the presidents and government officials have been trying to put bans on guns. It sure isn’t the easiest thing to do in the world because one of the amendments allows us the right to bear arms. It was a different time. At that time people were afraid of getting attacked by someone who wanted to kill them. The reason for guns used to be for self defense only, end of statement. That used to be the only reason why people would ever want to own a gun or learn to shoot. Now, although there are some people who want to own a gun for protection not much of America who has a gun has one for that reason. Sure, there’s hunting which is fine. Yes, that’s killing the animal and such but there’s already laws on that. When they can shoot, when they can’t and so forth. That’s another thing people disagree on. I have heard people talking about government taking away guns and only to a handful of people to monitor them. Well that would be going against the right to bear arms and then we’re giving all the government control little by little. People need to learn how to use the gun. They say that guns don’t kill people, people kill people. I believe that even if they made the gun laws so tight that being able to own a gun may be one of the hardest things in the world to do, people would still die from others. Murder would still happen. There would be mass killings, just not mass shootings. The real problem are the people who are doing these kids of things. If they really wanted to a person could still find a way and no matter who it is a killing and early end to someone’s life is a terrible thing.
