Grey Skies and Blue Eyes
All of my family has different eyes. They captively control and contrast throughout. My brother Sam has the same eyes as my mother, baby blue, like the bright blue ocean on the beach. My mother has eyes that are tired, too many years of staring into a computer makes the blue faded and fatigued. Sam’s eyes are refreshed and ready for his new life and everything graduation. Sam’s eyes contrast his pale face, drawing attention from far and near. My father's eyes are eyes that are brown like two chestnuts.
But, my eyes aren't like anyone in my family, they are a color neither grey not blue. In the summer sunshine they sparkle sapphire, but in the frigid winter months, they grow grey and groggy. Encompassing the center, I hold a hazel hoop piercing through the blue-grey, like if the moon blocked out the center of the sun and you could only see the outside rim of the sun peeking through the clear blue sky. We are a family of beaches, chestnuts, skies, and moons.
