Two Misbehaved Dogs
They are the only ones who get under my skin. I am the only one who yells at them. Two misbehaving dogs with bushy tails and blaring barks like animals. Two whoms we got from the shelter. Two aggravating members given hope. From next door, I can hear their howels, but mother says “you wanted them”.
Their evil is secret. They bark secret messages to dogs around. They bark loud and they bark quiet and scare the bikers with their ferocious teeth and claw the windows with sharp nails and never stop for a breath. This is how they observe.
If one heard a noise, they’d both run around like mad men, each with their ears perched high. Observe, observe, observe they think while I yell. They ignore.
When they are too tired and too misbehaved to keep observing, when they are big boys against many animals, then it is they calmly sleep. When there are no more bikers on the road. Two who fell in the face of anger. Two who bark and do not forget to sit. Two whose reason is to annoy me.
