Cooking
The smell. The smell of fresh-cut cilantro, flying through the air. The warm sensation of the taco mix Grandpa makes with homegrown ingredients. The sight of him throwing all of the toppings into a shell like a hot knife through butter. Brings back memories. The subtle memories that make you feel like you went to the candy store for the first time. All the candy stares at you while they dance on the shelf. Through all of the warm goodness of the tacos is the feeling of happiness when the smell of sweet red velvet cake wraps around you like a warm blanket. Mother is baking, mother is baking the sweetness of the meadow in the early spring morning. The chocolate chips waved goodbye, smiling while falling into that sweet red batter.
