Listening In

If I had to choose between knowing the future or hearing what others were thinking, I would Adjudicate to hear what others were thinking. But I would not use this ability with malice intentions— I would use it to better others.

Understanding. I often struggle to understand exactly why my friends feel the way they do. When they are in a bad mood, I attempt to placate that but never know what would be best. With this power, I would have the ability to help my friends in the way they need whether that is someone who listens or space to themselves.

Mistakes. A big fear of mine throughout my life has been making mistakes or taking something the wrong way and looking silly. While it often is not a big deal those things stick with me. One time, my trainer asked me to help set up the gym in a certain way, but I didn't completely understand and set it up wrong, thus causing a delay in our workout. If I had been able to listen to his thoughts perhaps I would have been able to save time and myself from embarrassment that draped over me like a curtain.

Entertainment. During class, my trail of thought never stays on path. Thinking about going home and tanning, to what I should eat next. A Qdoba bowl sounds delicious right now. I would love to be able to hear people's amusing thoughts using my discretion to determine whether or not this person is interesting or to have the ability to tell what was distracting them.

Caution. While this super power would be an exciting thing to have if I am not careful I could find myself in trouble. Either knowing too much or using the power in the wrong ways, I feel as if I would find myself messing up. Thankfully I don't not have the ability to listen into others' thoughts, so I am safe for now.
