How He Changed My Life

The family and I visit my uncle every year at High Cliff State Park. My uncle loved to fish and play soccer but everything changed on October 5 2005.
Visiting my uncle on October 5 is a tradition to me. Every year, is almost the same. The families meet at my uncle and aunt house and wait for everyone to come. Then we stop at the store to buy some snacks and drinks. After that we stop at the flower store to buy flowers, and flower petals. We usually try to get there before 7, because most of the people that go had school the next day. My grandpa sometimes comes along with us too. My grandpa burns gold sheets of paper. The gold sheet of papers is money for the dead. Every year, we do something a little different. If it’s too late, we would just stop by at the grave yard at Saint Mary’s. I honor him so much, because he made a difference in my life. When I was a kid, he taught me many things. He taught me how to fish. He taught me to take risks, and he put me up when I was feeling down.
I visit my uncle because he changed me. Visiting him is a tradition for me. If I don’t visit him, then I’ll be cursed with bad luck, or something. My uncle taught me how to be me. He taught me not to be ashamed of who I am. He taught me right from wrong. I never went to High Cliff State Park after October 5 because my uncle passed away at High Cliff State Park; the only time I go is when I go visit my Uncle.
