I Love the Smell of Christmas
Every house, especially mine, has all kinds of smells during this time. There’s strong smells like peppermint, eggnog, and pine. There are light smells like walnuts, berries, and sugar. Peppermint, oh that yummy aroma of peppermint, reminds me of the days when I was jolly. My eyes sparkle whenever I smell this delicious smell. Pine. A whiff of pine, and you’re just fine. It makes me feel safe and calm. It reminds me of my sister who passed because she loved to lay next to the tree and smell that aroma. Eggnog, on the other hand, is both sweet and has a heavy smell to it. Eggnog, oh that wonderful smells of eggnog, reminds me of when I was a child. Playful and spunky. I love the smell of Christmas.
