It is early morning. The warm yellow light of the rising sun caresses the snow-dusted, densely forested peaks. The tall mountains slope steeply down, tapering off into rolling hills and grassy plains, which end abruptly at a deep gorge. With rocky, steep walls, the gorge is dangerous for antelope, elk, and bison newborns that could fall into it. At the bottom of the gorge is a churning, frothing river. Its roars echo against the slanted walls as the river swallows logs and tumbleweeds with gusto, letting nothing stand in its way.
